Fashion Star Fillies Dinotopia Zalgon 26 McGee Lego Research The I Could books of pet poetry by Franceso Marciuliano Dear Author, I chose 'any' for almost all my fandoms. You probably noticed that, since you got the sign up sheet and everything. You'll also see there are characters listed here. Do not panic! They are there just because I wanted to show you who I nominated during the nomination process and that I'm especially fond of them. If they are not in the sign up sheet, they are totally optional. If I chose any for a fandom, I mean it. I am happy with any character. All are good. Go where the muse takes you. Loves: Gen, (Femme and Dude)slash, Het, family, partners, adventure, hijinks, taking a strange concept as matter of fact, things being as good as they look without a sinister undercurrent, history (even made up history you made just for this fictional universe!), and exploring concepts. Please no: Slavery, suicide, abuse, underage. Re: sex, I'm a bit squeamish so it's best to just avoid with me.

Letter!

Fandom: Fashion Star Fillies Characters:
  1. Corrinne is "The Charming Princess."
  2. Sarena is the "Talented Artist"
  3. Fallon is "The generous Millionairess."
  4. Janel is "The outrageous Rock Star."
What I like about this fandom: Just figuring out the nature of this fandom alone is the potential! These horses... they're rockstars, artists, country singers, models, royalty! What is their purpose? How are they doing this? Prompts: Are they just celebrities to other horses? Are they in an all-horse world? Or are they in our world, sharing the tabloids with the Kardashians? They're bright pastel! MAYHAPS THEY ARE ALIENS. And how appropriate is Country Singer for a horse anyway? How about 'sassy' teenage horses in leg warmers! All this and more for Fashion Star Fillies! In essence, my request is 'SOMEONE DO SOMETHING WITH THIS' about the weirdness of the FSF concept. My childhood one was Janel, so she's an especial favourite of mine. Fandom: Dinotopia by James Gurney Characters:
  1. Arthur Denison
  2. Will Denison
  3. Sylvia
  4. Bix
What I like about this fandom: They're some of the most beautiful books you will ever read. I love utopias, they're so rare in fiction and Dinotopia is one of the ones closest to my heart. I loved how it was a travelogue through a wonderful world. I only nominated the first book, but please feel free to use details from any of the others! I haven't read the two novels and it's been a while since I read the kids books, so if you use things from there just try to make what you're referencing clear (unless it's just world flavour) so I'm not confused. So what I'd definitely not like is a sinister side of Dinotopia. Because what I like is how it's a beautiful, kind world. Prompts: What's your favourite dinosaur species? What would they be doing in this world? Does Denison come across a mystery in a library? How about Sylvia? What does she do outside of Will? What was her first real danger flying a skybax? What do Skybax riders do for fun? What about Bix, what's her story? The dolphins are clearly sapient, how do they feel about sharing the ocean with the giant species within? What's it like living in the rainy basin? What's it like being a megafauna mammal in a land ruled by dinosaurs? What's a fun dinotopian holiday? Bix is a girl, what is it like being a girl dinosaur? I hope any of these help! See Also: 1. Wikipedia article on Dinotopia 2. 3. James Gurney's blog 4. Official Dinotopia site 5. James Gurney's Gallery with TONS of Dinotopia art!
Fandom: Zalgon 26 McGee by The Vestibules Characters:
  1. Zalgon 26 McGee
  2. Customer
  3. Testimony Giver 1
  4. Testimony 2
What I like about this fandom: As a fellow human being who does not ever think of cooking and eating my fellow homo sapiens, I enjoy Zalgon 26 McGee's commitment to also not eating humans and his fine changing rooms which you should definitely check out at your earliest convenience. Prompts: Who is Zalgon 26 McGee? What sort of world is he in? This is a fandom I'd be okay with being a crossover for the following fandoms: Marvel comics, DC comics, Star Trek, X-Files, and Animorphs. I don't know any others well enough that it would make sense to me if you used them. I'm not saying it has to be a crossover, but I looked at it and thought 'well, you know, why not if that inspires someone.' So I threw that out there! This skit always makes me laugh. Are there more of Zalgon 26 McGee's people out there? What do the newspapers say? Is this a horror or a comedy? Does he actually ever succeed? Is he just a weird Scottish guy? Please, donnez moi. See Also: The skit itself and here's the transcript:
"And now a message from Zalgon 26 McGee, Human Being and owner of McGee's Clothing Store: "Hallo, I am Zalgon 26 McGee. I am a human being just like you. I share your biological makeup and your morals. For instance: the idea of eating a human being is not appealing to me. So now that you know that I too am from Earth and am a Homo Sapien, I invite you to come to my clothing store. McGee's Clothing, where my sole aim is to sell clothes to humans. At my store there is a wide array of human clothing and best of all you can try on your clothing in one of our many perfectly innocent changing rooms. These excellent rooms do not have doors which automatically lock behind you and the temperature inside them does not increase whatsoever. Just listen to some of the real human beings who have successfully shopped at McGee's Clothing:
"I have been to McGee's Clothing and I have used the changing rooms. When I had completed my trying on of an article of clothing I was free to leave the changing room, uncooked and still totally alive. It's a good store." "McGee's is the best place to buy things. The thing that is most positive about McGee's are the changing rooms. They are so good that you should go in one even if you do not want to try on an article of clothing. You will not be cooked."
So take it from me, Zalgon 26 McGee, McGee's Clothing Store is a normal, perfectly safe store for humans. See you there!"
Fandom: Research Institute (Lego) aka the set with the lady scientists Characters:
  1. Chemist (lego)
  2. Paleontologist (lego)
  3. Astronomer (lego)
What I like about this fandom: This is an inspired set, to begin with. The way you build the skeletone's spinal cord alone is brilliant as well as elegant. That said, lego is strange and expressive all at once. You can chance an items entire mood just by how you place its legs or where it faces. And I love seeing the stories people come up with for toys, like in @LegoAcademics, or other stories people tell with the toys. Plus: Lady scientists! Yes! Prompts: What is it like working together in one lab on such disparate subjects? Do they all work together? What can you see on a dino skeleton with just a magnifying glass? The separate bones look like nothing on the skeleton. Are they mad scientists? What is tiny plastic science like? Do lady legos date? Do they exist in the wider world of legos? What sort of galaxy does the lego world have? Do they just have light fixtures for the astronomer to look at? Do they make any amazing discoveries? Do they delve too deep in Lego God's domain? Hope any of these help! See Also: The set itself and @LegoAcademics which is a good example of the hijinks little legos can get up to. As the twitter feed was considered a fan work, I was unable to nominate it. I'm not too upset over this, so if you want to use influences from it, or go your own way, I'm happy with either and you shouldn't worry about it at all.
Fandom: I Could Pee On This, I could Chew On This, I Knead My Mommy, the I Could series of pet poems by Francesco Marciuliano Characters:
  1. Cats (The I Could books of pet poetry by Francesco Marciuliano)
  2. Dogs (The I Could books of pet poetry by Francesco Marciuliano)
  3. Kittens (The I Could books of pet poetry by Francesco Marciuliano)
What I like about this fandom: The poems are so funny, as is the idea of our pets being secret judgemental poets. This is a bit like the Fashion Star Fillies request, in that I'd like to see where you go with this. Prompts: This is a wonderful concept. So, these pets write poetry. How long has pet poetry been going on? Is there a kitty Byron? A dog Aeinid? A kitten Sappho? Does anyone ever come home to discover their cat has been printing out invitations to their reading and it's really awkward because they don't think their cat is that good but the cat is like 'you're my owner, you gotta come, I thought we were pals' and they go and everything is like, mice on toothpicks? This poetry is what the dog dragged in? Any other pet poems? Failed pet poets? Do any other animals try to get in on this? What other types of animal literature is there, really? Do cats get into bitter fights with people who give them bad reviews? Are there hipster beat poet cats? What is a dog literary critic like? Hope any of these help! See Also: I collected some of the poems, most of them posted on his blog, as a nice sampler. Four from each book.
